AJOT uses the definition of clinical trial provided by ClinicalTrials.gov: "a research study in which one or more human subjects are prospectively assigned to one or more interventions (which may include placebo or other control) to evaluate the effects of those interventions on biomedical or health-related behavioral outcomes"
Authors must provide the trial's ClinicalTrials.gov or other registry ID number in the Acknowledgments section of the article.
